Lakelands Station Announced!
We're excited to hear the announcement that the new METRONET Lakelands Station will be jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments, with 80% of funding coming from the Commonwealth.
The addition of the Lakelands Station to the Mandurah Line will make access and commuting much easier for the residents of Lakelands, with all homes being within a short walk or drive from this location.
The station will be accessible via Lake Valley Drive, and will include a car park, drop-off area, bus interchange and lockable cycling storage. Construction is now underway, with the station expected to open in 2023*.
